de las \u00faltimas d\u00e9cadas a esa expresi\u00f3n tan cacareada que pretende justificar la segregaci\u00f3n escolar: \n<em>\n\t<strong>\n\t\t\u00abEn la (educaci\u00f3n) especial estar\u00e1 mejor\u00bb.\n<\/strong>\n<\/em><\/p>\n <p>Da igual si se trata de un aula o un centro espec\u00edfico, en ambos casos estamos hablando de segregaci\u00f3n escolar, algo que est\u00e1 en contra de los derechos humanos (Calder\u00f3n-Almendros &amp; Echeita, 2022). La pregunta entonces, se salta este punto tan fundamental que es la perspectiva de derechos y \u00e9tica que preside la educaci\u00f3n inclusiva: no es necesaria una argumentaci\u00f3n dirigida hacia los resultados (Ziljak, 2013; Cologon, 2020; Lindsay, 2007; Cara, 2013; Haug, 2017; Ainscow, Booth &amp; Dyson, 2006; Lipsky &amp; Gartner, 1996; Slee, 2001), ni puede limitar su comprensi\u00f3n a los m\u00e1rgenes del mercado (Miles &amp; Singal, 2010). Sin embargo, como el proyecto social y radical que es, no se encuentra exento de presiones que ejercen poderosas fuerzas contrarias a los cambios que propone.<\/p>\n<p>A pesar de ello, es muy frecuente encontrar debates y afirmaciones que pretenden hacer ver que lo mejor para ciertas personas (sobre todo buena parte de personas en situaci\u00f3n de discapacidad) no es la educaci\u00f3n inclusiva, sino la segregada. A menudo se plantea que la educaci\u00f3n especial es algo as\u00ed como un centro de alto rendimiento que paliar\u00eda el efecto adverso de la segregaci\u00f3n social.\nLejos de esto, <strong>las evidencias cient\u00edficas internacionales desde hace m\u00e1s de medio siglo son muy consistentes y van en aumento, sosteniendo los beneficios de la educaci\u00f3n inclusiva frente a la educaci\u00f3n en ambientes segregados.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> Son destacables las revisiones sistem\u00e1ticas y los metaan\u00e1lisis de ARACY (2013), Cologon (2019), Hehir et al. (2016), Fisher, Roach &amp; Frey (2002), European Agency for Development in Special Needs Education (2018) y Szumski, Smogorzewska, &amp; Karwowski (2017). Los beneficios de la educaci\u00f3n inclusiva, m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de la justicia social que favorece, se reparten en diferentes \u00e1reas o dimensiones: la mejora en la socializaci\u00f3n, el sentimiento de pertenencia a una comunidad, la sensaci\u00f3n de bienestar por las relaciones sociales con compa\u00f1eros y docentes y la inclusi\u00f3n social; el aprendizaje acad\u00e9mico, as\u00ed como el mantenimiento y generalizaci\u00f3n de los aprendizajes; la mejora de la comunicaci\u00f3n y el desarrollo del lenguaje, y el comportamiento, entre otros. Tambi\u00e9n se muestran otros beneficios, como la mejora de las pr\u00e1cticas de ense\u00f1anza de los docentes al hacerse m\u00e1s sensible a las necesidades de los estudiantes (Jordan, Glenn &amp; McGhie-Richmond, 2010; Purdue, Ballard &amp; MacArthur, 2001). Por otra parte, los beneficios de la educaci\u00f3n inclusiva afectan a alumnado con y sin discapacidad, incluyendo tambi\u00e9n al alumnado que muchos siguen etiquetando como con discapacidades severas y m\u00faltiples (Cologon, 2020; Ruppar, Allcock &amp; Gonsier-Gerdin, 2017).<\/p>\n<p>Hay que se\u00f1alar la ausencia de evidencia de calidad contraria a estos postulados, que sostenga que existe un mayor beneficio de la educaci\u00f3n especial frente a la educaci\u00f3n inclusiva (Cologon, 2019; Hehir et al., 2016; Jackson, 2008), y la que hay compara la escolarizaci\u00f3n en escuelas especiales u ordinarias, sin que puedan calificarse de pr\u00e1cticas inclusivas (Cologon, 2019; Lindsay, 2007). Es lo que ocurre cuando en estudios m\u00e1s locales se apunta a un incremento en el riesgo de maltrato entre iguales por abuso de poder (\u201cbullying\u201d) hacia el alumnado en situaci\u00f3n de discapacidad (Rose, Monda-Amaya &amp; Espelage, 2011). Por otra parte, la revisi\u00f3n de evidencias sugiere que asistir a centros segregados minimiza las oportunidades de inclusi\u00f3n social tanto a corto plazo (en la escuela) como a largo plazo (tras graduarse) (European Agency for Development in Special Needs Education, 2018). Sin embargo, las experiencias educativas segregadas contin\u00faan siendo comunes entre el alumnado nombrado por la discapacidad, priv\u00e1ndoles de uno de sus derechos fundamentales (Calder\u00f3n-Almendros, 2018) y a pesar incluso de que la evidencia muestra, como acabamos de apuntar, mayores oportunidades de aprender y desarrollarse en entornos educativos m\u00e1s inclusivos (Kurth, Morningstar &amp; Kozlesky, 2014; Cologon, 2019; Hehir, 2016).<\/p>\n<p>Todo este cuerpo de evidencias, asentadas en metainvestigaciones internacionales, deber\u00eda servir de sustento para responder a afirmaciones falsas que pretender servir de argumento para actuar en contra de los derechos fundamentales de la infancia m\u00e1s vulnerable, as\u00ed como para acometer con determinaci\u00f3n la transformaci\u00f3n de los sistemas educativos hacia una educaci\u00f3n inclusiva. Este es el mayor reto que afrontan los sistemas educativos de todo el mundo (Ainscow, 2016). Las administraciones y todos los miembros de la comunidad pueden y deben dar pasos para su logro, algo que nos beneficia a todos y todas, y con ello asfaltar el camino de sociedades m\u00e1s equitativas e inclusivas.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-dfad5c7 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"dfad5c7\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100
